Binance.US CSV to Excel / Google Sheets

Excel / Google Sheets won't take your Binance.US CSV directly — TurboTax removed crypto CSV import in January 2026 and the legacy importer capped at ~4,000 rows. Upload your export here and download a CSV that imports without the cap.

Why Binance.US users get stuck at Excel / Google Sheets

The Binance.US details that trip up a clean Excel / Google Sheets filing — and how the converter handles each.

Note 01

Binance.US provides a tax/gain-loss CSV plus a raw trade history — upload the tax export so proceeds and basis are already matched.

Note 02

Coins moved between Binance.US and self-custody lose their basis trail and come back Unknown unless you reconcile against the source wallet.

Note 03

High-frequency trading on Binance.US easily exceeds TurboTax's ~4,000-row legacy CSV cap; the TXF import has no cap.

How it works

Binance.US to Excel / Google Sheets FAQ

Which Binance.US export should I upload?

Upload the Binance.US tax / gain-loss CSV from Tax Center → Reports, or the Tax Statement (CSV). Binance.US provides a tax/gain-loss CSV plus a raw trade history — upload the tax export so proceeds and basis are already matched.

What exactly do I download?

A Form 8949 CSV — one row per disposal with description, acquisition and sale dates, proceeds, cost basis, gain/loss, and any wash sale adjustment. Open it in Excel or Google Sheets, or hand it to your CPA.

Does the 4,000-row limit apply here?

No. The ~4,000-row ceiling was specific to TurboTax's old crypto CSV importer. A plain CSV worksheet has no row cap, so even a heavy Binance.US trading year comes through in full.

Are wash sales handled?

If your CSV includes wash sale figures, they pass through using the standard crypto codes (322 short-term, 324 long-term). The IRS has not formally extended the wash sale rule to digital assets for the 2025 filing year, so we honor whatever your source reports rather than inferring new adjustments.

Is my file stored anywhere?

No. Your upload is processed in memory and deleted when the conversion finishes. The output bundle stays available for 24 hours, then is removed. There's no account to create.

Got a different crypto CSV? The CSV to TXF Converter handles every source. Open the CSV to TXF Converter.
